This is an AWESOME restaurant. I had exceptional service. The young fellas checked on me often to make sure everything was okay. My order was cooked perfectly. Spicy shrimp were plump and delicious. Spring rolls were hot and crispy. Very reasonable prices. Large Chang beer only 120B!! Their menu has 48 pages!! Wide variety of different foods to choose from. I didn't see any unhappy customers. Not authentic Thai food. Service is very slow even though the restaurant is empty. The pineapple rice tastes weird, the fish cake seems to be frozen food brought from supermarkets, the pad Thai is very oily and the basil with chicken is basically tasteless and dry. None of the dishes we ordered is nice. The restaurant is hot, and the table and chairs are uncomfortable. If you stay at Grand Mercure, do walk further down the road for more cheaper and authentic Thai food. The few more steps will not kill and do not waste your calories here! Waited for more than 30 minutes for a bowl of duck noodle soup in a scarcely populated restaurant. Despite calling out three times, my order was still delayed. The duck meat was clumped together and seemed like frozen cooked duck meat, giving it an unpleasant taste, forcing me to spit out the food. Disappointed, I paid and left, vowing never to dine here again. There are better dining options available elsewhere.
