Island Mix Restaurant and Lounge

Went during a Wednesday evening, it was fairly busy. During the week they have carious specials, and Wednesday happened to be half price appetizers. We ended up just having appetizers and drinks and the chicken wontons, hot wings, pholourie , and pepper shrimp. We had no complaints about anything, they were all good for their prices.

I've been coming here for years but it's mostly for the half price wings. There's many flavours and I've had most of them over the years. It's very good value for the money and I will continue to come. The rest of the menu isn't too appealing to me.

This restaurant was great, they have very authentic food! The prices are great and the breakfast buffet was awesome and fresh. Recommend!

So normally we had a family dinner for her birthday but my mom chose to attend your breakfast brunch. It was the Saturday right after that nasty storm. All but 3 of our guests came.We weren't thrilled about the seating but the food and the atmosphere made up for it. Everyone left happy and belly full!Will go again

When there for an early dinner at 4pm. The hostess said they're not seating anyone because they had a private party at 8pm. Ok in 4 hours, right? We asked if we could sit at the bar, that was a no. We were a couple, and there were 2 other couples at the front desk who were also turned away. Hungry and bummed we left.Thankfully the couple in front of us told us about another similar place called The Avenue on Bellamy Road. We all went there, greeted by our waiter who was new, seated right away and received a cold beer right away. The menu seemed small, but the dishes were full of flavour. Our friendly waiter recommended some fan favs and we ordered a table full of dishes. Everything was fresh and cooked well, tasted yummy, cold beer and a nice low key vibe. And oh, you must try The Avenue's BBQ duck. We ordered a half and it was way too much. But be careful of the pepper sauce, it's hot (and i like it hot). Will definitely go back there. Thanks to the couple that recommended this place. I think I'm just over the typical rude attitude and lack of service at Island Mix. After a while all IM dishes taste the same, you know what I mean.
