Kingsmen Pub & Grill - Pickering

A group of us went to the Kingmen Pub and we all ordered our meals. One of us in our group finally got his meal after such a long wait. When the server arrived with his meal he said that he waited 40 minutes for his meal Her response was, 'Oh I don't think so'.We were shocked at her curt reply. No apology at all. He asked for the manager who questioned the man. We then mentioned to the manager that we have been waiting to get our bills for way too long. He disappeared and later we all got our bills from another server. Never saw the manager or the first server again. Place was not busy at all, we all said that they must be short staffed.Customer service not their specialty.

Considering that weren't greeted when we walked in, we had to seat ourselves outdoors, snag our own menus, and then wait an additional 10 minutes without seeing any type of staff before finally deciding that I would just walk up to the bar and get my drinks myself.....I was not impressed. We drank our pitcher on the patio for at least an hour before someone came out and asked if we wanted anything else. It was honestly the weirdest experience I've ever had at a med sized pub. It's not like we were the only ones sitting outside. Our first tip off should have been when we saw all of the other people on the patio bringing back their own drinks as well. Definitely wouldn't recommend, my backyard and house have a better vibe and ambiance, not to mention a better selection of alcohol that I drink for much cheaper. Don't waste your time or your money. This place won't last long.

The location has changed hands many times and they can do a lot better. We arrived and waited forever to get someone to serve us. Two servers walked by one no one even said, hey we're swamped and under staffed today, but I be there shortly. The menu is quite extensive, it is hard to believe they can do that many things well. When our server did show up she was friendly, helpful but tired. We waited again for drinks that she served, there were no bartenders, hostess or food runners. Our food was ok and we made sure the dishes were highly recommended by our server. Our table in the bar was wood gouged by many teenagers and look very tacky for a newly opened establishment. I won't be going back

Visited this pub for the first time and will not be going back. We had planned to have a few drinks here to start the night but the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar and the bartender was very snooty. From looking around, it was apparent that we were not the only ones who were being treated this way. The young female bartender was serving all the young guys ahead of other patrons who had been waiting way longer. This is unacceptable! It would have helped to have more than one bartender for such a busy night. The live music was good, but when they were done the bar didn't turn on any other music. Did not enjoy the atmosphere.

Not enough staff as more people arrived. Beer selection below average. Music was low and really just a restaurant atmosphere. TV's are irrelevant as they all show the same thing. Fun factor was low at best.Food was OK. Nothing awesome. The competition in the area is weak as well so with some tweaks it could easily jump out in front. A more unique menu, some fresh recipes and less 'cook from frozen food', some craft beers, more servers, owner involvement and enthusiasm might help.
