Mary Brown's Fried Chicken - Pickering

The food here is excellent for the price. The quality is great and I will definitely return. It may not be as adventurous as other restaurants, but it is still worth a visit.

We sometimes get the perpetrators here for a treat and a taste of home (Newfoundland). It is definitely a sometimes food!

The drive to the restaurant was quick. The food was served hot and was delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions when I placed my order.

I decided to try this restaurant based on local recommendations from people I worked with. The chicken was excellent, much better than KFC and on par with Popeye's. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I am back in Canada, it's a great spot for lunch. The roasted chicken was well worth the visit, and I wish there was a location in the United States. The recipe apparently originates from Newfoundland. The fries were also delicious, crispy on the outside and fresh tasting. I will try to squeeze in another visit before I leave the country. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of delicious roasted chicken, it surpasses other options I have tried in the southern states.

I love Mary Brown's preferred to KFC or Popeyes. Of course because of the extremely high fat and calorie count it has to be an occasional treat. This location is good and has decent specials. The only drawback is you often have to wait...as they cook very little ahead. That said at least it's fresh and hot.
