Zapatas Mexican Kitchen - Pickerington

The food and margaritas are very very good. However I saw one of the cooks come out to pick a tomato with his black gloves still on. He touched the door, the gate, and the tomatoes outside. I really do hope he washed his hands and put on a new set of gloves before he started cooking again.

While yes I understand that extreme ratings (all positive or all negative), can conflate other reviews, and create a perceived image that isn 't completely accurate, this review is not that. This is review is all positive as I genuinely enjoy this restaurant. Great food makes great reviews. Great customer service makes great reviews, but yet this restaurant is more than just Great . It 's an amazing restaurant, will food that rivals other Mexican restaurants. The customer service fantastic. Yes, when they are busy(and they get REALLY busy), the staff still stays strong and provides that great service, even when under staffed or incredibly busy. This restaurant offers dessert choices that are on par with the Cheesecake Factory, and that 's not a hyperbole. I first ate at this restaurant in 2016, and over the last 3 months, I shared so many meals with friends here because it 's truly an amazing place and experience. Yes, it gets busy, yes it can get loud, and yes there 's time where you 'll wait for your receipt, and yes some items are pricy, but it 's worth it IMO. The staff genuinely tries to be at the top of their game. They 're very kind and respectful. Yes the ol ' saying is The customer is always right , but they don 't see it that way. They 're not rude or mean, but they don 't put up with any for of disrespect or harassment(from either side). They are truly amazing people, and this restaurant is amazing. Please give it a try yourself.

This is our local go-to Mexican restaurant. The service is always so prompt and accurate. I don't love super spicy foods just for the sake of being spicy, so sometimes I'm a little critical of salsa...but this salsa has the perfect amount of spice and good flavor too. It's my favorite salsa around! The food has never disappointed either and prices are very reasonable. 100% recommend and will be back!

Good salsa and delicious food (I had the Monterey Special). Loved that I could choose different sides than traditional rice and beans. Service was fast and friendly and the vibe on the patio was perfect. Would highly recommend!

The tortilla chips were all broken up, making the cheese dip which was very good difficult to eat. The Deluxe Burritos were ok but not really flavorful. The Mexican rice was ok. The lime margarita was again, ok.
