We found the Crow Tavern in Picton while travelling NZ in a motorhome using wikicamps. If you ask, the owner may allow a self-contained motorhome to use the carpark if you come in for a meal or a drink or two. We did just that. They also have a separate menu to cater for coeliac. We met George the owner and publican while ordering our meals. We had a lovely chat, and he went through the hotels history with us. The walls are adourned with historic photos and documents detailing all the known history right back to the beginnings. The pub toilets are the cleanest toilets we've come across in NZ. Thankyou George for your motorhome hospitality. A big two thumbs up from both of us.
What a great locals pub! Felt homely with its local characters friendly vibe and great food. Enjoyed my Saturday night here with a crew from Wellington for my birthday. Kareoke was a rager and great fun. Thanks to all that made it such an awesome night!! Courtesy Car available for pick up and drop off Also the spoon player was OG!
George and his crew are fantastic hosts. He is happy for motor homes to stay and allowed us to use washing machine and dryer! The pub is immaculate and the food excellent. One of the biggest thrills was checking out the amazing toilets. Worth going for that as well
$108 got us 2 main meals, shared starter, 2 jugs of beer and bottle of wine... plus free parking for the night in our Campervan, george the owner was a lovely chap, as where all the other staff. Need somewhere to stay before getting on the ferry.. I think I’ve made my point
