I thought I would love the fruitier ciders like blood orange and peach, but surprisingly preferred the Waupoos premium cider. It was clean, lightly sweet, and refreshing without having a medicinal taste. For those who like cream soda, you should try the blood orange cider. The wait for a table for 7 was quite long without prior reservations. While waiting, we enjoyed the views and walked through the small vineyard overlooking the lake. Once finally seated, we ordered 4 pizzas and a salad to share. Although smaller in size, the pizzas were loaded with toppings. We enjoyed the goat cheese, pear and chicken pizza. The Hots for You with sausage and tomatoes was flavourful. The Fun Guy pizza was loaded with mushrooms, Brie, and was very creamy. Pizzas cost $17.50 each. A star was subtracted for the delay in seating and the hostess staffs ' inability to estimate when we would be seated. Otherwise if you 're in the area, love cider, and want a pricier place to have decent pizza with a lovely view, you should consider coming here. (79/100)
Great view of vineyard and beach in the background. Friendly service but the pizza was very disappointing. Stromboli frozen pizza is much better. Recommendation to chef: do not bake arugula with pizza. 3 stars for service and ambiance/view and 1 star for food. Cider was decent.
Enjoyed a ton during my visit here even though I am not a cider drinker. The scenery is beautiful and the tasting room has a lot of charms! The staff was very friendly and passionate in sharing with us the cider collection they have, from not sweet at all to the sweetest one they have. Some of the ciders are really delicious. Recommend!
The VIEW (+1 star): The County Cider Company's patio boasts the most breathtaking view. It's simply stunning and feels almost dreamlike. I could easily spend the entire afternoon sitting in one of the Muskoka chairs, sipping on a cold cider or two. The tasting option for $2 allows you to sample four ciders, or you can choose to pay 50 cents for each individual taste. Keep in mind that the tasting portions are quite small, intended just for a quick savor. We tried five different ciders: Feral, Blood Orange, Tortured Path, County, and Waupoos. Since we visited on a weekday, the tasting room was not busy, which meant we received quick and attentive service. I'm definitely planning to return the next time I'm in the PEC area, just to soak in the view again or perhaps grab a snack.
Food is ok, but prices went up and portions went down with the boom of Prince Edward County which is a shame. Toronto pricing for what we got would be less than what they're charging. It was kind of disappointing after visiting for a few years. Service is meh nice people, but young and inexperienced, so it got a little irritating (especially with the above mentioned price boost). Scenery is wonderful that I'll give them!
