We ate outside in the covered area just across the (very quiet) road from the restaurant and we had the beef fillets (which had been recommended to us). The fillets were very delicious and cooked just as requested. We also enjoyed the starters and deserts....The service was friendly and helpful. There was no problem having our dog with us. Altogether an enjoyable evening.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends which combined the friendly warmth of Maryvonne and the culinary skills of Marc. There was a good variety of meals and we were all well satisfied with our respective selections. My generous beef dish...was cooked exactly as I had requested and the crumble was delicious. Located in the small village of Pierrerue about 5km from Forcalquier I would strongly recommend the drive.
We visited the restaurant during a one week stay in Pierrerue; this was the nearest restaurant and it turned out to be somewhere we would have happily traveled to! we were there for early dinner, 6 adults our one year old. The owner was very welcoming and...the waitress lovely, really getting out of her way to entertain my daughter (who in return? was on best behaviour); we really appreciated this. The food was amazing throughout: some of us had a gazpacho, perfectly balanced and seasoned, even the toddler loved it. The mains were beautiful, the meat as well as the sides perfectly cooked and presented. I only managed some ice cream for dessert but there was a good range of options. High standard of food for good value in a casual, comfortable setting: The restaurant is prettily styled and cosy; there is also outside seating across the street but tucked away behind wicker and lit by paper lanterns if I recall (we were inside as it was a cool night). All of this contributed to a lovely evening; Pierrerue is a beautiful village, well worth the visit anyway make a trip our of it!
A perfect place to celebrate the 60th aniversary of my sister: our menu: escargot and cesars for starters, steaks and a vegan alternative as main course, and several alternatives for desserts. we recommend this venue and restaurant for celebrating like these 18 guests perfect food...and atmosphere made the evening perfect:
