No Way Jose's Cantina

The food was cold when it arrived and the waitress couldn’t speak English very well when asking questions. We left….

I am a mexican food lover and i was very very disappointed walking in and eating at this restaurant. Let’s start with the fact that i ordered a carne asada and got charged for the tortillas that would come free with the meal at other restaurants, like what?!! And to top it off got charged for some spicy sauces that i asked for as well. And if that wasn’t enough I got welcomed by some pretty bad service. In all honestly my waitress seemed annoyed at me asking questions and seemed in a rush. The atmosphere was not great at all, i felt everything but comfortable eating there with all these crazy lights and slippery floors. Being a mexican myself i can for sure tell you this is not authentic food and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It took longer than it should have to order our drinks. I tried to order just a plain chicken chimichanga, but they don't have them. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have chicken chimichangas? The food was disappointing. I got a carnitas chimi, and it was saturated with so much frying grease that it was about the only thing I could taste. It was a very thin tortilla, and it all just soaked the whole thing. My beans were dried out with crusty chunks in them. The corn masa was mealy and dry. The rice was just ok. I would not choose this place again.

Awesome place! Fast, courteous service and the food is AMAZING

I did a take out delivery and it was fresh and delicious. The server checked that everything was in the order when we picked up. We always eat at Jose’s when we visit from Indiana.
