They seated us out the back by their pond and it was lovely. For how busy they were thefood and service was top notch. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and the portion size was large. I also order the sangriawhich was fresh and flavorful. The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the horseradish which had no flavor or spicewhich is a personal preference. Over all if you are in the area this is the place to go. They have good friendly service and alarge variety of dishes and seating places.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! No waiting at all, the food was an absolute dream. We had the Old forge pecan fried chicken, the very best chicken I have ever had. That french toast moonshine maple syrup with pecans, to die for. Theservice by Dillon was superb, attentive and knowledgeable with the food. I also picked up some sourdough bread and chocolatepecan pie, really talk about a lucky day. It doesn't get better can't wait to go back there.
I don't know what to say except this was the BEST BBQ FOOD IVE EVER HAD. I have lived in places from Texas to California and this place takes the CAKE!!!! This is an absolute must it is insanely good and very very well priced. EDIT: We went back forbrunch and it was STILL some of the best food I've had. We picked up a loaf of the cinnamon bread on the way out and it was soso so so so so so so SO WORTH IT!!!
Update: we came back today (8/7/22) for brunch and just when I thought this place couldn?t get any better it did. The Truly Southern Eggs Benedict was FABULOUS! We are here on vacation and this is THE BEST place we have eaten at during our trip. Thefood was delicious and the portions were very generous. Very reasonably priced as well. We will 100% be back on our next visitto Pigeon Forge! Pictured is there open-faced roast beef.
This is a nice restaurant to visit if you're in Pigeon Forge, TN! We went last week for our summer family vacation! The staff was very courteous and our waitress was very sweet! The food was good too! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and everything wasflavorful, hot and delicious! I usually don't order a dish like that at a restaurant because so many places get it wrong thatI'd rather do it myself at home..the right way! ...But this restaurant got it right! We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant aswell! It had a 1940's type of aesthetic to it...it reminded me of sitting on your screened in back porch on a hot summer daywith a tall pitcher of lemonade just relaxing! They were playing Billie Holiday quite a bit at the time that we were there andthat helped add to the overall ambiance! They have a bake shop on the other side where you can buy baked goods, etc. They alsohave a beautiful courtyard type area outside with a gazebo and a fountain! Some really great natural backdrops to take someamazing pics and it was nice to sit inside and eat while looking out of their picture window at all the beauty in the courtyard! Since it is summer, they gave us the option to eat inside or outside but it was so unbearably hot down there in early July thatwe chose to sit inside with the air conditioning! Driving and parking in the general area of this restaurant is prettytight..everything is sort of piled on top of each other in this particular area so we had a bit of a hard time getting in andout because it's so congested in that part of town! Overall, we enjoyed everything about this gem!
