Worth the two-hour drive. If you are somewhere in a two-hour radius of Pinckneyville, you need to stop this place and try. If you want breakfast, they serve all day. If you want the meat of Grandma and three, they have it. We ordered the speciality of the day, that was chicken fried steak. You get your choice of two veggies, or order the dish lunch and get three decisions for just $5.25. The potatoes were the real thing to die the severity, and the green beans with onions and bacon like grandma... but the best was the hot yeast rolls they serve with the meal.... just wonderful. If I looked around what others ordered, I could say that the food was just as good, be it the big taco salad for $5.45 or the huge plate of cookies and Gravy for just $2.20... I wanted to walk all the tables and beg me around a bite, everything looked so good! If you want a quick friendly service, good food, clean restaurant and bathroom, and dirt cheap, this is the place... just go!

KITT!! Kitten is the name I still call! The name may have changed on the shield, but not in my heart! This is a great café! It is a must after an evening of drinks dance w/ old friends!! Mary is by far the best employee to always pardon the wage role!! We love MARY KITTEN's!

Dixies Cup Cafe, in Pinckneyville. This lil restaurant packed great taste!! We loved the food, but would kill for the cheesecake. We never felt hurried and everyone was super friendly. In any case, get back!! 5 stars all day!!!

Outstanding service, outstandingly delicious breakfast and very friendly atmosphere. In fact someone 'paid it forward ' for our entire meal. We will be back.
