Nicoll's Cafe - Pine City

One our our go to places when at the cabin. Really good food and best staff anyone could ask for!

I had one of the daily specials. Grilled Ham and Cheese with tomato basil soup. It was served with pickles and chips and complimentary slice of yummy strawberry bundt cake. All served warm, quickly and quality lynch.

Waitresses were friendly, quick, and checked back in. Excellent Food was average Small town atmosphere. It could use an update as the booths are extremely hard for elderly to get in and out of.

We were familiar with the restaurant as Nicole's and were unaware that it had changed ownership when we went there. We didn’t notice any significant changes; it seemed to have the same staff, and the food was delicious. The waitress was attentive and on top of everything. For once, a management change has been a positive one. They should continue to be a fantastic place to dine.

The restaurant isn't very appealing in terms of decor. I ordered the hot beef sandwich and was quite disappointed. The gravy lacked flavor and was lumpy, so I didn't even bother to take a photo because it looked unappetizing. I expect a rich, brown gravy on a hot beef sandwich, but that's not what I received. Another person in my group had a steak sandwich, which was decent, but overall the service was just mediocre. I don’t think I’ll be returning here.
