Shop/reception staff and housekeeping staff were very friendly, and remembered us when we came back to stay for a night after a trip to Katherine we appreciated it : Nearby places of interest: Railway Museum (where we met a friendly caretaker who shared so much with us , Enterprise Mine Lookout (up a steep hill, drive with caution , Edith Falls (40mins drive . Pub food pricey, but not many food options nearby. Pool was clean, but cold. Generally, great place to stop for 1 2 nights.
During the dry season, the lawns may not be as lush as they are during the wet season. However, the amenities are clean and well-maintained. The shop is well-stocked with everything you may need and the fuel is available at a reasonable price.
Good food options. The chicken was great. A little on the pricey side but comparable to other taverns in NT.
This review is for the tavern alone, as it was a convenient stop during a road trip. The atmosphere had a lot of charm, the menu had a good selection, and the substitutions for out-of-stock items were satisfying and delicious. The fig salad was particularly outstanding!
The Lazy Lizard Tavern has friendly staff and delicious food at great prices. The portion sizes are bigger than other places and the pizza is tasty. However, the men's restroom had a blockage, possibly due to overuse or inappropriate items being flushed. The restroom could have been cleaner. I did not have the opportunity to stay at the caravan park, so I cannot comment on that.
