Half Moon Lake Lodge - Pinedale

Nice place. Very clean, good food and drinks, cute bartenders. She even sang us an impromptu song!

It is one of my favorite places near my hometown! Service was pretty good. They forgot the chicken for my salad so I had to wait for my food while everyone else was eating. Other than that, everything was good!

I am not one to write bad reviews but hopefully this will help someone else out. The views were beautiful from cabin #3 which over looked the lake, and the cabin was cute and cozy. We went down to the lodge to grab some breakfast and the staff was very unenthusiastic. We were not even given a menu but rather offered a choice of three items when we said we were there for breakfast (oatmeal, a pretzel, or a breakfast burrito). We both opted for the burrito and coffee since we weren't given all the choices that are listed on their menu in the book that was in the cabin. There was no one else in the lodge other than us and the man working the front desk/waiting on us. We sat outside on the patio which had some good lake views but it took 20 minutes for the man helping us to return. He first brought us our burritos, which seemed like they were a day old and barely even warm. Then half way through our meal he finally brought us our coffee (isn't that always supposed to come first). We were there on a Tuesday so maybe weekend service is better, but I would not recommend eating at the restaurant unless you want to wait and be disappointed.

We had dinner at the lodge last night This is one of the best meals I have had in years The service was over the top. I had huckleberry cheesecake for dessert ? it was AMAZING. It was actually a little sad that the lodge was over 1/3 empty with the quality of food and service they offer. We try to come out as often as possible when we are in the area. It is well worth the drive!!! The meatball appetizer was one everyone should have as well!!!

I wish I didn?t have to give it one star to post. I am not one to write negative reviews but hopefully this will keep people from making the same mistake we did this evening. We went to the restaurant for dinner and it was by far the worst experience we?ve had in a really long time. The location is absolutely gorgeous but the food and service was terrible. The $45 (market value ribeye (which looked like a flat iron was over done and had no taste. The $20 Fettuccine Alfredo was the serving size of a kids meal pasta and had no taste. It was outrageously overpriced for such low quality food. For how bad the food was, we still forced it down because we had been waiting for 45 minutes and we?re starving by that point and couldn?t wait any longer for new meals. The service was nonexistent and when we mentioned how the $45 steak was over done the 16 year old waiter (who served us alcohol? illegal? snapped at us and was completely unprofessional. Seriously, avoid this place. Go to the brewery in town instead like we should have.
