She took my wedding ring out in the room to show her family then thought she put it back in her bag, but it wasn’t in her bag at wedding time. The hotel let her family back in the room to look for the ring but housekeeping had already cleaned the room. They weren’t able to find it. We thoroughly checked all bags that were in the room, so the ring WAS accidentally left in the hotel room. Housekeeping said they weren’t able to find the ring. Management staff both blame her saying she probably accidentally threw it away in one of the trash bags left in the room. That definitely didn’t happen. She wouldn’t have thrown away a $1000 ring. So I won’t ever be bringing valuables into this hotel again.

My wife and I along with our 11 year old twin girls recently spent a night at the Comfort Inn in Piqua while en route home from Florida after a day on the road. That said, here was our takeaway: Lobby/first impression We walked in to a spacious, comfortable, clean lobby that presented well before being greeted by the front desk staff, located to your right after entering. There is also an indoor pool to your immediate left, across to the front desk. With ample parking outside and automatic doors, bringing our luggage in was a breeze. We had arrived just after 8pm, but check in was super efficient and speedy, and we were settled in our room in no time. Five stars all round. . Location Decent location for all those looking for a rest right off the I 75. There are also a couple restaurants in and around the area, specifically a Cracker Barrel very close by for all those seeking to grab some grub (which we did). One other particularly unique feature about the hotel is that it’s actually attached to a mall (Miami Valley Center Mall), and although it was already closed when we arrived, the hotel allows you direct access to it without having to go outside. I’ve never come across this feature before, something that definitely made this Comfort Inn feel unique. Rooms – Very clean and comfortable, and providing all the necessities for a one night's stay. No complaints here, with the usual amenities expected from a hotel of this class included. Five stars. Other stuff: The complimentary breakfast was a plus for getting our girls fed and on the road, located down the hallway to the left of the front desk (as you’re facing it). Items included a waffle maker, cereal, eggs and sausage, etc., and enough space to grab a seat. It was a particularly busy morning that day (being a Saturday, it was expected), but still managed to get to the waffle maker in decent time and things seemed well organized. Great breakfast. Value: We managed to get a room at the Comfort Inn through a CAA/AAA discount (Friday night), and felt it matched the quality we received in return, and much better priced than some of its direct competitors in the area. As far as ‘highway’ hotels go, we found this to be great value, given the astronomical rates some of the surrounding area hotels charge (trust me, we looked). To that end, we'd call the value we received a win. The Bottom Line – A comfortable, convenient, and overall pleasant stay. The Comfort Inn Piqua is definitely one of the more appealing choices at this highway stopover point. I would recommend the Comfort Inn to anyone seeking a reputable, convenient and efficient hotel, with the expected quality the chain is known for. Five stars based on our experience, well done.
The rooms are extremely clean, friendly and accommodating staff. The owner and his family were on site and made our stay more like staying with family. Will definitly return. Great people and pool is lovely also
This hotel is clean and smells good. Everyone who I spoke to on the staff was friendly and helpful and there were plenty of choices at breakfast. It is a bit tricky to locate as it is behind a mall. My only disappointment was there was no ice machine on the 2nd floor. There are plenty of places to eat nearby.
