Thalassaki - Piraeus

This is by far the best tavern in the neighborhood. And I tried MANY! The owners and managers are very friendly and hospitable even if your Greek is as terrible as mine (aka is almost not present. Every dish I have eaten here (and there is a LOT! was completely fresh and clearly lovingly prepared. I eat here as often as possible for the rest of my month here on Piraeus. Great love for this place. And seriously... The best fava puree.

My friends from Athens brought me to this restaurant during my visit. We all loved the food and the service was amazing. A few times I thought I was on a Greek island, the atmosphere is beautiful. I recommend it.

The word is organized. People worked as a team and the food reached our table quickly. The food was great and I would definitely go again if I were to be in Athens.

The best place to have fresh seafood! A must try when you are in Pireas!
