Sam I Am Bagels - Piscataway Township

Update 6/26/22: We've ordered here many times by now. We usually order breakfast. The food is great. It tastes like home cooked food and I mean that in the best of ways. The value is incredible. With prices rising everywhere, this restaurant is still friendly on the wallet. The staff is very nice. They have always gotten our orders right. They read the comments in the order as well. ZERO complaints. Thank you for being awesome!

I?ve been coming to this establishment for 3 1/2 years, the customer service and food had been homely and good! Most recently a new younger guy was hired to take orders and the overall service went down immediately. He?s rude and short each time I call my order in. I asked for my bacon to be cooked through not burned to bacon bits as it was previously and his comment to me was ?whatever?! When I came In to pick up my food I asked him was there a problem with me asking

Awful experience. The cleanliness of this place is unacceptable. Every surface was dirty, and there were tubs of butter and cream cheese left out on the counter, uncovered and unrefrigerated. The bagels appeared as if they had been taken from a plastic bag a week ago. Did I mention how filthy it was? They really should be embarrassed. It's disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend going there.

Very poor slow and terrible service. We were not acknowledged and waited what seems to be forever. Prices were HIDDEN from the menu (nowhere in the store is the porice shown) and what I was charged was not the same as what my friend was charged even though we ordered the same. So buyer beware !!! Bagels were of mediocre quality and NOT fresh. Place do not know how to make good bagels Avoid at all cost

For a bagel shop that closes at 2 PM on a Sunday, there was surprisingly little selection left by noon. It felt like we were just picking through the leftovers. If you're after fresh bagels of your choice, I suggest arriving earlier. I've been to other busy bagel shops close to closing time and still found plenty of options available. The service was also frustratingly slow; there was a long line of people waiting to place their orders. We stood there for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, so we ultimately decided to leave.
