Pismo's Pizza And Chowder House

I eat here all the time. My kids love the pizza and shaved ice. The staff is always super friendly and professional. The inside and out is clean and well maintained. It's the kind of restaurant where you see management working hard and checking on everyone both staff and customers. This place has hands down the best micheladas I've ever had anywhere period. The couple restaurants in this location before just relied on foot traffic and didn't last long. I hope Pismo pizza is around for a long time and judging by the quality of food and staff I'm sure they will be.

Outstanding clam chowder! Highly recommend it. You can tell it not just bacon chowder, sine it had juuust the right amount of sand in the clams. ; Too bad they didn 't sell branded sweat shirts. ;

I'm sold on their chowder. It is very good! Some serious competition for Splash down the street. Pizza was good as well. Friendly staff greeted me promptly

Ummm..... i came here because of the michelada advertisement and figured might as well get food! Right? Well, the cashier showed NO emotion, no customer service skills and was very dry. I asked her if i had to order a michelada there or go to the other area she said to go to the other area so i did.. waited there for about 15-20 minutes before anyone helped me. Mind you, during this time almost every employee walked past or made eye contact with me at some point and failed to acknowledge me or let me know they 'd be with me.. once we FINALLY got a drink we asked for a table to be cleaned outside and an employee did come out to clean it off, however it was super wet and still left with gross food residue on the table so we ended up just getting napkins and cleaning it ourselves. We said thank you and there was no acknowledgement, response, or even a simple you 're welcome ..The environment inside just felt so hostile and negative, like they hated their jobs. Management needs help on staffing at least ONE person with customer service skills.. it 's a mess. And there were PLENTY of other customers waiting just like i did probably just as annoyed. Y 'all need help.

So excited to come here until I ate the Nates Sandwich. I'm sorry to say but it was horrible. Fries very greasy and tasted like grease. Probably won't take the risk of coming back. Well atleast my friend and my son enjoyed the pizza. I wish I had made the pizza my first option.
