I did not come here much because typically if i go to a steakhouse type restaurant i love having tablecloths, more decor on the walls, etc. The view is spectacular but once it is dark one just has the ambiance in the actual restaurants. I know restaurants are getting away from the previous elegance but this time it did not matter as we just loved everything.
Excellent food. We had a steak salmon dinner. Very generous servings. Great service. Beautiful location. Restaurant bar areas super nice. Can't wait to go back!
We had stripped sea bass. We prefer Chilean Sea Bass. BIG DIFFERENCE. No ceasar salad on the menu. French onion soup was delicious! Certainly a must visit when in Pismo Beach...breathtaking views and romantic atmosphere. Staff were wonderful, attentive, and accommodating (Especially Lana and Caleb). Make a reservation and ask for table 26 in the corner...best view in the restaurant.Second visit: I had short ribs (no bone, tasted like slow cooked beef stew) it wasn't bad, just not what I expected. Hubby had ribeye. It was good. We ordered two deserts, carrot cake and bread pudding (huge amount of coconut shavings) to go. Neither were what we expected, and we didn't like it or even finish it. It was a rather disappointing end to our evening. In total, we have ordered 6 different items from the menu. 2 out of 6 were what we expected and good. Combined our 2 visits, cost over $250. I wouldn't say the price reflected the taste of the food. However, the view and staff truly make for a good experience. Are we happy we tried it? Absolutely! Would we go back? Doubtful. Suggestion: Ask your server for a detailed description of what you think you're getting.
Wonderful lunch with friends visiting the area. Wedge salad with blue cheese, bacon, red onions and cherry tomatoes was delicious, along with a bowl of the best clam chowder. The pastrami sandwich and seafood salad my friends ordered looked amazing and the chocolate molten cake for their anniversary was superb.
Lobster tail was good. The sourdough bread was nice and warm. The rice was a little overcooked as well as the risotto, but overall food was good and nice atmosphere.
