Herschel's - Pittsburg

This place used to be good but I just ordered the most bland tacos ever. I don't think they seasoned the meat at all. Gross!

The Big Tex burrito was a deep fried gas station beef and bean burrito the tacos were were so bland that the taco sauce packets I put on it couldn't even help. It had just browned hamburger meat no seasoning at all. I'm depressed after that sad decision toeat lunch there today.

The food we had was only fair at best. I ordered the taco salad, which included lettuce, ground beef, and a bit of cheese, but the taco shell was underwhelming. My friend got two tacos and a burrito plate, which looked like something you’d find in an elementary school cafeteria. While the restaurant itself is clean, nice, and well-maintained, the food didn't meet the expectations set by its exterior. It wasn't terrible, but I’m not sure I would go back again.

I called the restaurant, hoping they might take note of my issue and rectify it the next time I visited by not charging me for the eggs. Instead, the staff member told me I needed to return immediately to get a replacement. When I explained that I couldn't come back right away, she said nothing could be done. I found this level of customer service disappointing, especially considering they made the error and I had already spent $23. My receipt clearly states one was to be over medium and the other scrambled hard. I’m giving this place 3 stars due to their poor customer service.

This is the only restaurant where you can still find delicious burgers, and they are genuinely welcoming and appreciative. Excellent food and fantastic service!
