El Sabor Latin Kitchen - Pittsburgh

I recently had a conversation with one of the owners, Rebecca, about vegan cheese recipes at this restaurant. The entire staff shows a genuine concern for meeting the needs of the vegan community. The current menu options are tasty, and the staff explained all the substitutions they made to accommodate my vegan meal. I am looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop their menu in the future! The restaurant also offers great outdoor seating for social distancing and follows strict Covid safety measures.

This is my favorite spot for Latin cuisine. I first heard about it from a colleague who orders delivery from here. I decided to visit in person to see what all the hype was about and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with friendly and laid-back service. The food is consistently amazing - always fresh, hot, and delicious. I highly recommend this place. They also have a bar with good drinks at reasonable prices. My only complaint is the location on Penn Ave, which is a busy street with terrible parking. I've had to drive around a few times to find a spot, and even the back lot was full, but it's worth the inconvenience.

This Pittsburgh restaurant is one of the best Latin American spots with great vegetarian options, fantastic happy hour specials, and perfect margaritas that are not too sweet, just the right amount of lime. I tried the yucca and tortilla soup which were both lovely, while my friend enjoyed the delicious quesadillas. The fajitas smelled amazing, so I will definitely be returning. The dishes had the perfect balance of spices, spiciness, and ingredient quality. The Pico de Gallo was also a hit.

I tried the tamales on special and was concerned they might be too spicy, but they turned out to be some of the best homemade tamales I've ever had that didn't come from a grandmother!

My best friend and I have been coming here for the past few years. I don't know how I haven't reviewed this place yet! They have THE BEST steak fajitas. THE BEST tacos. I've had multiple different people tell me they're the best tacos they've ever had. Reheated or dined in. They give you a variety of peppers and tomatoes with your fajitas which most places don't do. What really made me want to make sure I recognize them today is they gave my friend the wrong taco protein so the plate was sent back. She was expecting to just get new tacos. They also remade all the sides fresh too so everything came out fresh together at once. The food and service is amazing. I hope this place never goes away, never had a bad experience.
