La Feria - Pittsburgh

Stopped by for the first time in years and was glad to see La Feria is still going strong with delicious Peruvian food. Excellent value and quite a few vegetarian options, including a vegetarian special each day.

Starting with the alfajor, I found it to be quite dry. The portion size was decent for the price, but it didn’t impress me. The best part was the dulce de leche filling, which was pretty tasty. Unfortunately, the shortbread cookie part was rather stale and lacking in flavor. The sweet potato chips were decent. Although they weren't the crispiest—likely due to the delivery process—I was let down by the lack of seasoning. They did have a nice hint of sweetness, though. As for the ropa vieja sandwich, it missed the mark for me. The meat wasn't very well-seasoned and felt a bit on the fatty side. The bread was alright, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I was hoping for a more flavorful experience. In conclusion, while it's a charming little place, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I still have a desire to explore more Peruvian dishes, but perhaps I'll look for another spot to do so. Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options are available, including sandwiches, soups, and salads. Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of healthy options on the menu.

Ideally situated! The food is excellent, and while the atmosphere is cozy, it provides a lovely intimate experience.

Awesome food and a fun atmosphere. Make sure to start with the sweet potato chips and dip and end with the bread pudding. Everything in between is bound to be fantastic as well. Vegetarian options: Lots of great options for vegetarians.

We went at lunchtime on a Saturday, five of us. Our vegetarian meals were simple and full of flavor. Warning: share the bread pudding!
