She was full blooded Italian 1st generation American. My Dad was full blooded Italian 1st gen as well. Italian food in our family is celebrated as a right of passage in our familia. My grandmother and mother made the best ever meatballs.A Fresh mix of meats, herbs, bread or crumbs and Romano cheese, et al. Bravo! When I had Luciano’s meatballs I made noises the whole time that I was eating them. “Mmmmm”, “ahhhhhh”, “wow, these are as good as my mums” (and mine). Bravo Luciano Pizza! Speaking of pizza, we also love the pizza like no other in the North Hills. One can’t go wrong with Luciano’s Pizza and Six Packs on Duncan Avenue in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Thanks Eric! You, mom and the others are doing a great job! Note: I don’t know the family, nor am I a stakeholder in the business. I spoke to Erik on the phone while going on and on about the meatballs! Gratzi from Joey Meatballs !
Went to place a take out order two weeks ago at Lucianos Pizza Duncan ave location and saw that NO employees were wearing masks. Turned off we left and went to a competitor who was requiring employees to wear masks. Having Lucianos being a long term favorite living a couple miles away for the last 20 years, we decided to try again Saturday evening 6/27/2020 around 6pm. When we called to place order we were told that safety precautions were being taken and employees were wearing masks. When we arrived at 6:30pm we were astonished that NOT ONE employee behind the counter was wearing a mask. Not the employees ringing up orders, not the pizza makers, not the guys making hoagies, not the guys washing dishes. Three Employees were also in a group inches apart while figuring out where an address was for delivery. When asked about masks there was a different attitude, first our question was ignored then a curt “we’re not required to wear masks.” Just want to issue a warning that with other restaurants in close proximity to Lucianos having employees testing positive this establishment still defiantly refuses to wear masks. One delivery driver did have a mask around his neck by was allowed to just walk around the food being prepared. I did not take video Or pics in order to not cause a problem but would just like fellow North Hills residents that the people at Lucianos making your food, cutting your pizza, and delivering your order are not required to wear masks increasing risk of community spread. If you know anyone testing positive after visiting Lucianos demand to see their security footage....0% of employees preparing your food are wearing masks....even with customers picking up their food wearing them. Very low class Lucianos, especially in these dangerous times. Thank you
This restaurant has been a wonderful staple in the North Hills for years. My office was surprised with a delivery for lunch the other day. We had a delivery order courtesy of a sales rep. Thank you Lucianos for putting smiles on our faces. Your pizza is top notch!
Owner was heard yelling at and demeaning a dishwasher. Very unprofessional and embarrassing. Won’t spend another penny here.
