Outstanding customer service! I purchased seats for a class as a family outing gift, and with each variable I was able to easily get an assist for changes and additions. The Macaron Bar team made it easy to give a unique gift that will bring fun memories AND some treats highly recommend!
Delicious macarons. And lovely contemporary atmosphere. Had a great conversation with Mike, one of the proprietors, as I completed my Macaron Day passport to get my T shirt.
The Macaron Bar is a delightful easy to find little place on Penn avenue. I had been waiting months for this place to open. When you enter the building is nice and bright with white walls and a pop of color from the macaroons and the fun colorful balloon bulbs on the ceiling. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the process and flavor components of the macarons. I opted to buy 12 macarons in the $25 box. They have every flavor imaginable but my favorites were the toasted coconut and pistachio with the chocolate strawberry or birthday cake a close 3rd. It 's going on 4 days later and they have kept just ok in the refrigerator. I recommend eating as soon as you buy them because the texture starts 2 fade fast. The packaging allows for them to crack as well which takes away the fun of eating a macaron. They also sell the cookie shells (meringues) for $3 in dozen bags once they 've been cracked. It 's a steal for the flavor they contain.
They have wonderful Macarons and one of their most popular is the red velvet. They were a camp of Winchester Thurston School, where they have a back class on how to make Macarons taught by the owner of the Macaron Bar. You can also book courses.
