Pauline's Caribbean Soul Cuisine

I had never tried Caribbean cuisine before, so I have no frame of reference, but I can say that the food at this restaurant was incredible. My wife and I shared the Jerk Chicken Jerk Shrimp Combo, which, despite its $26 price tag for one dish, was a sizable portion that left us both full. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone I know heading to Pittsburgh.

I recently tried Pauline's for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. I decided to order the jerk salmon with red beans, rice, and cabbage. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, especially compared to similar dishes I've had at other restaurants in the past. Pauline's really nailed it with the flavor and portion size. If I had to mention one thing, I would have preferred a bigger portion of cabbage compared to the rice, and the salmon had a slight fishy smell and taste.

Delicious J Chicken. My boyfriend ordered their j chicken and got rice with it and some vegetables. He absolutely loved it. It was spicy and I am not a fan of spice so I opted out to trying it. But it smelt and looked so good and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Definitely will be backFood: 5/5

Ordered over the phone. They charged more than the original listed price that is on both their website and food apps such as grubhub and doordash on all items. No return of overcharged money even when the cashier was shown the difference in price compared to what they charged inhouse vs online. Both online website and apps were less than the price they rang me up for in-house. Food was good otherwise which is why I gave 3 stars. Please update your prices inhouse.

I really wanted some Caribbean food. I drove all the way from Carriberry twsp to the Northside to this restaurant. When I walked in it was dark inside an noone was at the front to greet you. I had to call out for someone to take my order. I wished I had just left. People yall gotta do better it's a little hole in the wall and the prices are astronomical and the food is trash will not ever go back paid $18.00 for oxtail plantains , the beef patties are golden but only with a thin layer of beef not worth the price, there isn't any smell like food is cooking in the establishment because there isn't its as though they had it in a pot or the nasty display heating up food in the microwave. The food was nasty. Just awful and you wonder why business bad The only good thing was the coco bread and it was store bought. NEVER AGAIN
