The small deep-dish sausage pizza, which has 6 slices, was excellent. Between my wife and me, the leftovers provided enough for 2 to 3 meals.
I ordered a deep dish Chicago-style pizza with sausage and pepperoni to go. It was just alright; the sauce tasted like it came from a can, with too much tomato acidity and lacking any other flavor. The pepperoni was incredibly thin, almost translucent. Overall, it was rather disappointing.
The Stuff of Legends! I've been eating Tony's deep dish for as long as they have been in business. I'm fortunate to live within their delivery distance, but I've also been to the legendary Pequod's in Chicago a few times and so have something with which to compare it. Unlike Pequod's, Tony's has only limited very seating, but the Deep Dish Pizza is just as great. Best to order ahead for takeout or delivery. But do yourself a favor and indulge!
First time trying this style of pizza and I was not disappointed. Placed a phone order and it was ready right on time. The sauce had great flavor. The crust had a nice crisp without being burnt and the cheese was plentiful.
