Amerikan Ichi - Placerville

I am baffled by the high number of 5-star reviews for this restaurant. Our order took over 2 hours to be ready for pick-up on a Tuesday night, despite there being only 4 other occupied tables. It was especially frustrating since we arrived at the 1-hour 15-minute mark they initially provided, only to wait an additional 45 minutes. The rolls were mediocre at best, and they also got our order wrong. We will not be returning.

Hour to get food, a little backed up they say, our server sucked, only saw her once in the hour we waited, out of soft shell crab, no edamame, fail for Ichi tonight. We will not be back again.

The restaurant isn't open on time. I was craving sushi 45 minutes before closing, but they couldn't make it. The service was poor, but the food was amazing.

Good food for a good price. Great people working there and always fresh.

Slowest service from the 2 (but only 1 chef actually works) sushi chefs. Ignore this place, it is not worth your time,
