Teriyaki Junction - Placerville

I'm a bit puzzled as to why this restaurant has a decent review. Many locals seem to enjoy the nostalgia of a place that has been in the same location for years, but my experience was not great. The staff could be more polite, and the food was so terrible that my friend and I almost threw up. It's not the first time we've had a bad meal here, so I wish there was a half-star option for situations like this.

Do not get the chicken salad. Completely pathetic salad and severely lacking

Didn't quite hit the teriyaki craving. Meat could have been more charred and overall the meal could have been a lot better. Best thing was the potsticker.

Best place for Asian food in the Placerville area! The teriyaki is grilled upon order, and they're very fast. I like that the menu is simple, super easy. Friendly people and rest service.

My husband likes their teriyaki ok, the tempura shrimp batter is too thick and tastes super greasy, the thick batter soaks up the grease and makes tempura soggy. The goyza is not very good either and sushi is poor quality. This isn't the worst place to eat but it isn't the best either. Expensive for the quality you get. Skip this place if you want real sushi or real Japanese food. This place is good for Teriyaki over white rice and that's it! The fish place next door is really good and the other sushi restaurant in this complex is much better..
