Horsebrook Cafe - Plainfield

I had a great experience at this charming little dive bar! I sat outside and enjoyed some beer and food. I started with the nachos as an appetizer. The toppings were delicious, but the chips got soggy and there was too much topping compared to the chips. Next, I tried the beer-battered fish and chips, which were fantastic! The fries had the perfect crunch-to-soft ratio and were topped with vinegar and salt, making them amazing. They mentioned that they had recently remodeled the interior and were in the process of painting the bathroom doors. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I highly recommend stopping by, or at least enjoying a beer outside by the creek with running water, which is very relaxing.

Another great to dine with friends and family. Great food with very awesome staff, bartenders, chefs and owners. Oh almost forgot the place is very family oriented during the day,,, so bring the whole family for great food and great people.

The restaurant has a nice variety of draft beers and whiskeys/bourbons. The food was great, although the pizza dough was a bit overcooked but still chewy. They made a good effort at practicing social distancing.

The food was fantastic, especially the Chicken Parmesan. The service was a bit slow, but the great company and high quality of the food more than made up for it. The dishes were served piping hot and delicious.
