Uptown Tap Eatery - Plainfield

I remember saying that Uptown was not my favorite after going there many years ago. Fast forward to now and I have to say that it is growing on me. I've been there for a late night snack, for lunch and for after dinner drinks all in one month. Each time I've been very satisfied. Service is good, food has been yummy and the ambiance is fun. I was there during a Bears game and the place was packed. They even had a complimentary hot dog bar for the game. When I was there on a Saturday night they had a band that was playing all sorts of music and it was fun to listen to. I have a new favorite in downtown Plainfield.

Yikes. Good to see that the clientele hasn 't changed since its renovation. As we were walking in, a young couple was walking out. I held the door for them, they didn 't say thank you, so I said out loud you 're welcome The place is hopping! As we walked in there a couple seated at the bar making out, like they were in 6th grade. His tongue was literally down her throat. Get a room you two. Stood at the bar for a while until we got noticed. Ordered some drinks and luckily a couple left, so we were able to sit at the bar. The bar was insanely loud, but the music was louder which we were ok with. It 's your typical trash bar. A stable in downtown Plainfield. But, these ppl need some damn manners.

Very friendly servers. Their Mediterranean Chicken Panini tasted great. Nice location to dine in and enjoy DT Plainfield during the summer!

Greek freak salad here is the best salad in all of Plainfield! Love this place! Every single time it is great and everything is always very fresh

I dig this place. Food is surprisingly very good for a bar! Drinks are reasonably priced and they have live bands (versus the dead ones) every week. My band recently played there, and from our perspective, the stage area is incredibly small. So small in fact that I've considered redesigning the layout of the restaurant on a drink napkin nearly every time I've been there. It does make it challenging to play there though hard to hear what you're playing from up there. Other than that, it's great! And we will be back again and again. Hopefully they can make some minor changes that might improve the stage and live music experience!
