Lotus Garden - Plainsboro

This authentic Asian restaurant is our favorite go-to spot! We have never had a bad dish there - everything is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The decor may be a bit dated, but the prices are reasonable. They have large round tables that are perfect for larger groups or family gatherings. This is not your typical Chinese takeout place, as they serve authentic Taiwanese and Chinese dishes.

The restaurant offered generous portions and the service was friendly and efficient. The menu had an authentic Chinese flair, but it seemed to be missing the signature Szechuan peppercorns. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

This was my first time ordering here and I am extremely satisfied! I had the shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein, egg roll, and crab rangoons. I thought the rangoons were a little over priced for a side item but they were stuffed deliciousness, as well as the egg roll…. It was HUGE! The noodles and rice were great as well. Definitely going to order again.

A bit on the low side of high price (for the area) , but the quality is there. I highly recommend the spare ribs. They are not smothered in sauce, slightly fatty, and so flavorful. Plus, they are an excellent price for what you get.

We’ve dined at Lotus Garden for decades and have never been disappointed. It’s clean, wait staff is efficient and the food is tasty and priced appropriately.
