Frankies - Plainville

I've been a fan of Frankie's since they relocated from Bristol to Plainville. The food is consistently great, and the toppings for the hot dogs and burgers are always fresh. You know how sometimes you encounter those glossy, translucent onions at other places? I've never seen that here in nearly twenty years of coming to Frankie's.

Do NOT recommend this place at all! Staff was not friendly at all! They got my order wrong , not big deal it happens BUT when I asked nicely to fix it, they gave it back to me SOGGY, which was NOT soggy when I first got it! The burger bun was so soggy, looked like spit was on the burger, could NOT eat! I Had to throw it out! Do not ask to fix it even if they got it wrong because it is disturbing what is done to it! And NOT safe to eat!

We truly regretted not ordering one of their world-famous hot dogs, which have won awards for ten consecutive years. They offer a variety of toppings, including sauerkraut and several different relishes. This place is quite popular, drawing many locals, and you can also take your food to go. The establishment is very clean. You enter from a nicely paved parking lot and order at the counter before taking your food to a table. We tried the 1/4 lb. and 1/2 lb. burgers, and they were delicious. They also serve meals featuring shrimp, scallops, and clams.

Frankies was quick to serve my order, and the milkshakes were exceptional. The fried vegetables were cooked to perfection.

Great food and prices, and very fair portion sizes. The service is also fast and friendly. I love that there's a well-stocked condiment bar with plenty to choose from.
