I had a somewhat disappointing experience at the Carrollton location when I was served undercooked beef. I've tried a variety of dishes including beef, beef tendon, pork belly, lamb, chicken wings, potatoes, eggplant, Chinese buns, cabbage, and beef noodles, among others. The beef tendon and pork belly are truly exceptional; they're cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy—definitely my top two recommendations. I enjoy all the vegetables, but the eggplant is especially amazing; it really melts in your mouth. We always order the beer jug, and it pairs wonderfully with the food. If you're looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Fanti!
I really commend this restaurant for its creativity in setting up outdoor seating in their parking lot during the pandemic! This was actually the main reason my friend and I chose to dine here one evening. We ordered a variety of skewers—beef, chicken, pork belly, Taiwanese sausage, enoki mushrooms, and tofu. My top picks were the beef and pork belly; they had a wonderful char on the edges. However, I did wish there were more seasoning options for the meats, as most of them seemed to share the same spice blend. Unfortunately, my enoki mushrooms were overly seasoned, making them a bit difficult to enjoy since they soak up so much flavor. All in all, we had a great time and I would definitely come back!
In Vietnamese culture, this type of food is referred to as "nhậu," which translates to bar food. However, it's different from American bar food, as it consists of smaller portions intended for snacking while socializing, rather than a full meal like burgers or wings. Since I don’t drink much, I balanced my experience with less alcohol and more food—we ended up trying almost the entire menu! While the chicken was probably my least favorite, the pork and the intestines were definitely the highlights. If you've never tried skewer food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I know a few other locations have opened up, but they’re under different ownership and they don’t hold a candle to the original in Plano.
This is the perfect spot for a quick snack! The chicken skewers were fantastic, and the prices are unbelievably low for such good food—most items are under two dollars! I tried the chicken, potato, broccoli, and their bun skewers, and everything was delicious. Highly recommend!
The food is good and offers more options compared to Fat Ni in Carrollton, but the sauce portions are limited. Unfortunately, the server often makes me feel uncomfortable when I visit, and the service overall is not great.
