Fred's Downtown Philly - Plano

I've been visiting Fred's for many years, and I'm not quite sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about. Today, the customer service was outstanding! The food is consistently fantastic, and the atmosphere is just right. Fred is still doing an amazing job. If you grab a cheese steak from here, you won't regret it. I promise!

This place has great cheesesteaks!! Best I’ve had in the Plano area for sure!

This restaurant is terrible. Unless you're looking to risk food poisoning, I highly suggest you avoid dining here!

I experienced some digestive issues shortly after my meal, which was quite unexpected since I haven't dined out in a while. Could it be a coincidence?

Fred’s is the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that has refused to give us extra napkins. My wife only got one with her meal and I got two. When I asked for extra they literally gave me ONE more. I said I’m going to need more than that and they actually said NO!! It’s restaurant policy not to give extra napkins!! My wife and I were only allowed 2 napkins each for our $30 worth of sandwiches. It’s completely unacceptable and frankly insulting to be told no when you ask for napkins. This place has gone downhill. The chairs and tables look like they were purchased at a garage sale. They only sell soft drinks from a local vendor and they taste horrible. Find someplace else to get your Philly’s because Fred’s isn’t worth going to.
