Half Shells Oyster Grill - Plano

This is an excellent spot for enjoying a wonderful dinner with friends or simply hanging out. I highly recommend it! Food: 5/5

My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner for the second time. She ordered the Chargrilled Prince William Sound Sockeye Salmon with Peaches for $27, while I chose the Chargrilled Mahi Mahi for $23. Both dishes were excellent, but I preferred the Mahi Mahi. The restaurant offers a standard menu with familiar dishes, as well as a seasonal menu that changes based on available ingredients. The items we ordered were from the seasonal menu, so they won't be available for long. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. They have fans to keep the area cool.

I had a pleasant experience at Half Shells. The concept of the restaurant is unique and appealing. I arrived early to put our name on the waitlist since I was meeting a group. While I waited, I sat at the bar, which I really enjoyed. The bartender crafted an excellent tequila old fashioned for me, and I sipped on it while watching the University of Tennessee baseball game. Once we were seated at our table, it was clean, and our server was very capable. However, the atmosphere was quite loud, making it difficult to have a conversation, and we occasionally struggled to hear our server.

The cod fish was the only thing I liked I ordered the seafood platter the shrimp were ok they were fried and some still had the shell on. The waiter was ok he offered samples but we didn’t get them but the table behind us got theirs. Overall I give it a 2. Why a 2 well the bathrooms were clean and the ambiance was aesthetically pleasing.

Thought it was very good.Had shrimp/crab Queso and a bowl of Crab Bisque.It’s nice that there is both indoor and outdoor seating options. I would go there again for lunch.
