The cut is not too thick either. However, it is strange that Tekkadon is topped with Fukujinzuke...but the Fukujinzuke itself was quite delicious, so maybe it's okay? Also, there are a lot of furikake on the vinegared rice in Tekkadon. The furikake alone has quite a salty taste. The udon was a bit lacking.I have high expectations for sashimi in general. The price is a little high.
We sat at the bar for lunch at around 1 on a Tuesday. Friendly enough staff , always enjoy the quiet jazz playing in the background but neither of those are why you come to Hanakin. Everything we ordered was exceptional from the takoyaki to the best sushi dish I’ve ever had the Salmon Wakame (2nd image) this is the best sushi experience I’ve had aside from Uchi in Dallas
A new treasure. This Japanese restaurant offers super fresh and authentic Japanese food. I love the scallop sashimi which was very sweet. The ceviche is a must have as well.
Solid Japanese food. I enjoyed the roll and the katsu was crispy yet light. Our first waitress was a bit short with us but rest of the staff was very pleasant. I did wish the cucumbers were a bit smaller in the roll, felt a bit overpowering.
I had an excellent experience for lunch today at Hanakin. The food was fresh and high quality. My server was great and provided exceptional recommendations. I had King Salmon, Toro, A5 Wagyu, Tuna Tataki, Madai, Caviar and Yellowtail. Can’t wait to go back!
