Mama's Pizza - Plano

This is the best classic American pizza place in the Dallas area. The pizzas are crispy and perfectly seasoned—not too salty. The salad bar is fantastic, and the highlight of the buffet is the cinnamon rolls. I absolutely love it!

This was my first time trying this pizza place, as I've seen many positive reviews. However, I found the pizza to be just slightly better than Domino's—barely. Honestly, I think Little Rome's pizza outshines both (it's brick oven pizza). When it's hot and fresh out of the oven, it tastes great, but once it cools down, it loses its appeal and becomes pretty unappetizing, similar to Domino's. You can usually gauge the quality of a pizza by how it holds up when cold; if it’s still enjoyable, that says a lot about it. Does that make sense?

We visit this restaurant regularly and have had mostly wonderful experiences. They offer a few vegetarian options and a nice salad bar. The atmosphere is fantastic; it brings back memories of all the pizza buffets I enjoyed as a child. The staff is extremely friendly, the cheese sticks are delicious, and the marinara sauce is excellent. As for vegetarian choices, it can be a bit challenging to find vegetarian pizzas on the menu, but they’re always willing to accommodate special orders. Overall, the salad bar is also quite good.

Now, this is a hidden gem!!! Seriously, it was a great pizza and said bar. The pizza is perfect !! The sauce on the pizzas was not overbearing and plenty of cheese!! The Salad bar was very clean and had everything you needed!! Now to the cinnamon rolls...omg!!! They almost melt in your mouth!! We will be back to Mama's Pizza when we are in the area. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed if you like hot, fresh pizza!!

Excellent food and service. Haven’t been in years but was in the area and decided to give it a whirl. So glad we did. We will be back!!! Tasty Tasty Tasty. !
