Smooth parking in the garage, then a quick minute walk to the restaurant. No need for reservations, if sitting at the bar. Pretty nice decor and staff seems ready to help with any needs. I asked for vegetarian recommendations, but guess what!?? They have a whole menu worth of good descriptions. I tried a few drinks, but the one with was sooooooo good. I burnt the straw just a little, it’s habit to stick your straw in your drink immediately. I ordered the “pollo” tacos with the crispy Brussels sprouts/squash and these were so freaking good. Like YAASSSSS! Love the chips and salsa. Couldn’t have the chicharrones, but they were calling my name. I obeyed my gut. Like the D.A.R.E. Program, just say, “NO!!” Cool vibes. Lots happening on every day of the week it seems. The website has the full schedule. Looking forward to salsa night!!! Oh the Bodega Brunch too, I heard it is str8 Only the weekends from 10:30 am-3pm. So be certain to reserve over the phone or website/resys app. This is a vibe. Excited to see what the weekend is looking like, because after mezcal, it’s clear that you might time travel into Mexico. Gotta love when the staff is so nice and can confirm the menu choices. This my new spot when in Plano. On par. By the way, give everyone a raise. Customer service gets an A
Fantastic restaurant, high quality meats/ingredients, very tasty and flavorful dishes and amazing cocktails. The chicken and cod dishes were one of the best I have tried. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the sauce on it was outstanding. The cod was also perfectly cooked and super fresh, it comes on a bed of cauliflower rice, which is the best way to eat cauliflower. The shrimp tacos (governor) were superb, with a very tasty sauce and perfectly blended with avocado
My friends brought me to the Mexican Bar Company last week and it was incredible! My friend was recommended to the restaurant by a lover of her and I am so glad that they did because it was a great experience. Finding the place was a little tricky, it is located in the Willow Bend Mall, so GPS played tricks on us. There is an entrance on the outside and you can also come from the shopping center, but the entrance is closed after the shopping center is closed. The interior of the restaurant was really nice. I loved the very light moment in the middle of the restaurant. There were murals of the Mexican flag that were great. The bar is quite large and opens out for terrace seats. I found myself looking around and appreciate the interior during the meal that is always beautiful. All the drinks we ordered were fabulous, some of my friends ordered the drink and we are flabbergasted that they were $17. The Queen and Salsa were tasty, I ordered the Enchiladas and the rest of my party ordered streets tacos. We also ordered the Elote, it was Bustin. All we had was delicious! We were in a little hurry to get out of the restaurant as it was a weekday, they were a little spided that it took a while to get the bill, but the server was very friendly. I recommend this place, will definitely be back in the near future!??????
Eating and drinking was great! the atmosphere was modern, lively, but not rebellious. we went for a girl at night and it was perfect for chatting and hanging out. our waiter was brilliant and kept our chips and drinks full and helped us to eat our entrees too (which were all very delicious.) that eating is also a good value!
3 stars only because the food quality did not match the price. they probably pay more for the atmosphere/place than anything else. eating was good, but not as good as other Mexican restaurants around dfw. the drink was amazing (after my sister) and they played great Cumbia music. it was nice to go directly from the shopping center to the restaurant and our server, helena, was great! overall I then give 3 stars.
