Romano's Macaroni Grill - Plano

Macaroni Grill overbooked for Valentines Day. We made a 745pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 820pm. We arrived early and sat in the bar but they were so busy we had to sit at a dirty table the entire time. Once we finally sat we waited a hour for our food. They ran out of calamari and the potatoes with the steak and potatoes Valentine package. It was a hot mess and very disorganized.

We left hungry after waiting more than an hour for our food to arrive worst Valentine’s dinner experience ever.

Good food. Valentine’s Day special didn’t allow for any changes:

It's been years since we had dinner at Macaroni Grill. We made it a dinner and movie night. But we were very disappointed with the food. My date's lobster bisque soup was very thin and no lobster chunks. Then he ordered the tomato basil soup way too red and not flavorful. My Pasta Milano dish was not tasty as I remembered it. Then we tried the canolis for dessert too fried for my taste. At least the Coppola bottle of wine was good. The service was good: new waiter and very pleasant.

We are giving a 1 star and dont feel like it deserves that much. The atmosphere was nice. But the disappointment came from the way we were treated from the waitress. She only serviced us when she gave us our bread, drinks and took our order. After that we didnt see here at all.
