Romano's Macaroni Grill Plano

This is our go-to spot for delicious Italian cuisine in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The high ceilings and Italian-inspired decor, accompanied by either Italian music or Frank Sinatra tunes, create a serene environment that's a welcome change from the typical pop or rap music. Here, we can truly savor our meals and take our time. We find ourselves coming back often.

The food was excellent, but the service was lacking. We had to wait a long time for our server and our drinks, which made it difficult for us to leave early.

The staff did a fantastic job, and we had a wonderful time.

Although we had a 5:00 reservation they tried to sit us at the bar. There was limited staff and many open tables they could not use. The server was nice but overworked, 1.5 hrs for 2 people meal. Salad was sent back, mushrooms and entrees were very good. Drinks were good, drink prices were not printed on paper menus. Restaurants seem to think the diners are the employers of the staff, they printed $2 upcharge due to inflation and still ask for 22% tip for slow service and ok food? I asked for ground pepper and got a pepper shaker? But later saw another waiter taking a pepper grinder to another table.

We were told that the restaurant DOES NOT accept Open Table reservations.
