However, my mother wanted to stop here as it was closer. A younger gentleman served my mom and was polite and respectful. When she requested him to wear gloves while handling her food, he complied without hesitation. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when the cashier from the gas station walked behind the food counter. He handled the cutting board, touched the counter, and took lettuce from the refrigerator without washing his hands. Then, an older gentleman came in and sprinkled seasoning on my mom's food without washing his hands either. I pointed this out to him, and things escalated from there. Although he had only sprinkled the seasoning and had not directly touched the food, my mom still felt comfortable accepting it. However, he insisted on replacing it, which I was concerned about because of the risk of contamination. Despite my worries, he insisted on getting a new seasoning, and his frustration was palpable. He kept ignoring my questions about my mom’s food, insisting that I wanted the item he had previously touched replaced. In the end, I decided to take the original item and the rest of her food and leave, thinking it wasn’t worth the hassle. All I asked was for the staff to maintain cleanliness while they worked. How hard can that be? I didn’t order any food from this place, but if you do, you’ve been warned. **Response to Owner:** You might not serve lettuce directly, but the man in the black shirt took out two packages of romaine lettuce—three heads in each pack—from the refrigerator. The lettuce was in a clear package with a dark blue top, and some looked molded. He removed the molded leaves and tossed them away, eventually throwing the entire package out. It’s disappointing to see that this was the only part of my feedback you addressed. You didn't acknowledge the cleanliness issues involving both staff members or the handling of food, which is concerning.
As a restaurateur, I frequently explore local restaurants, particularly those owned by minority and franchise proprietors. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this establishment due to poor customer service. The owner or manager was rude and dismissive while I was placing my order, making me feel like my patronage wasn't appreciated or needed. Thank you for the unpleasant experience.
This was my first experience at Williams Chicken, and it will be my last! I ordered chicken strips, and they were cold. I also requested spicy rice but received a cup of greasy rice instead!
My favorite local chicken sandwich spot closed down, so my partner and I gave Williams a try. I got a sandwich and my partner got a 3 pc dark. Our chicken was cooked fresh right when we ordered. The breading on my sandwich was well seasoned, the bun wasnicely toasted, and they were generous with the pickles and fries. The chicken was, as chicken breast tends to be, a little bitdry, but nothing a little sauce couldn't fix. My partner's dark meat chicken was moist and the breading had a good crunch. Iwill eat here again next time I'm craving a chicken sandwich.
During my first visit to this location, I found the service to be quick, the food served hot, and I’ve always enjoyed Williams Chicken. Food: 5/5.
