Taco Rey - Plant City

Food is so good I was coming to this restaurant once or twice a week. I haven’t been going as regularly due to finances but it’s usually fast and has good authentic Mexican food. Pricing is average. You cant go wrong!

I ordered the shrimp corn tacos, which were quite small, along with a basic cheese quesadilla that was just a folded flour tortilla. For over $13, I didn’t find it worth the money. The food wasn’t great, and while I did enjoy it, I don’t think I would return considering the price.

I ordered six tamales, and they were fantastic! However, I think ordering a dozen might be more cost-effective. The hot sauce served with them was spot on! I've been following this establishment's growth and I'm impressed and happy for the owner. The ladies handling the orders were very focused on their tasks, and the young woman who took my order was polite, friendly, and efficient. One piece of constructive feedback: it would be helpful to spend a little extra time ensuring that the dine-in and takeout areas are clean, especially during busy times. Overall, my experience was wonderful; I truly love the authenticity of this restaurant and will definitely return!

I really enjoyed our meal and the friendly customer service. The birria tacos were incredibly delicious, and the service was quick. We’re definitely planning to return!

Great place for casual Mexican cuisine. The food was very fresh and had good taste. Prices are very reasonable. Order meals or a la carte. Friendly service.
