Cocina La Maravilla - Playa del Carmen

We ate more than half a dozen times in la maravilla. we live approx. 5 blocks from this small but flawless and beautiful place, so we often come for the daily specialties. they make wonderful Quart/Lt size drinks of fresh green juice. I love to slip while waiting for my perfectly cooked local fish in achiote. I have their chili rellenos (filled chili) and their version is with a delicate carrot puree instead of the usual, to acidic tomato sauce, which serves most. I even eat the delicious rice they serve with their specialties and not where I have ever eaten it. very affordable and well worth looking on the corner of 15 ave and ctm. the service is friendly and relaxed. it is a bit of the tourist stripe and that is what helps to make it so charming. the affordable eating is some of the better quality we have eaten in all types of local restaurants. I eat guacamole all where and their, with speck chicarron and hot homemade maischips by far all the others beat it city. fantastic court.
