Las Pinatas - Playa del Carmen

The prices are somewhat high, but it is a nice place to take a break from the 5th floor. the service was always great.

Way over priced! 2 beers, 1 drink, chips with guacamole, $43 USD. Nothing special to justify the price.

If I could give a zero I would. Everything everyone is saying about this restaurant I’d echo: crappy food, ridiculous prices and I didn’t check on trip advisor first. It looked like a wicked setting.... The other issue is that the conversion rate on US...dollars is horrific too. So they over price on lousy food and then rape you on a horrific exchange rate. And you can’t complain because they point to the exchange rate posted behind the bar. That capped off a horrid day in playa del Carmen fending off ruthless merchants. I’m not leaving the resort next time.

Being a bit naive on converting pesos to dollars this restaurants pricing is deplorable. A bill for lunch was 89.00 US. The food was not even close to being worth a quarter of that. Once thing I did learn is become better acquainted with the...currency. And there is usually a reason a restaurant is not busy during lunch time.

Absolutely the low point of our vacation to Playar del Carmen. The entire experience was a disaster, from the horrible food to the filthy bathrooms. Everything was overpriced, but you don't find that out until you get the bill at the end. They then have...the nerve to add a 15% service charge, and use their own fabricated exchange rate. A real rip off and a health hazard gives the whole town of bad name and bad image.
