We have a paprikas and a hawaiian to go. it is a wood stove fired, but the pizza was very average. it was slightly boiled and not much taste.
We were misleading from all good reviews and also we persistent was cost-effective by trip advisor indikation. we are not turist, but native. strange thing is that was empty at 9 o'clock during the high season. I had expected that I was packed since all the good reviews. first. all I want to mention that the service is good. the problem is the pizzateig and the prices. margherita pizza 139 pesos? come they can get a really good Italian margherita pizza in any playa restaurants 5th avenida or 10th avenida for 90/100 pesos max 110pesos. the teig was so hard that after 5 minutes the pizza was served and colder was almost impossible to eat. both pizzen were also overcooked, what makes the when we sat down, brought them some white brot sliced pizza, and I realized that the teig was terrible, from my own the teig was not in time or wrong, as it was clear that it didn’t need a good and simple digestible pizza at all to slowly rise for 24/48 hours. also tomato in the margarita pizza was not properly removed missing oregano salt and pfeffer and some olive oil. 4 Chesepizze was completely missing the gorgonzola cheese at the end 2 beer 2 really basic pizzas 350pesos. typps we talk about over $20 that is too much for playa. if the pizzas were good, I don't have a problem to pay, but that's not acceptable. there are many other Italian pizzeria that have a large pizza very similar to what they can find in italy and reasonable prices. unfortunately we will not come back, very sad.
I know, there are dozens of pizza restaurants in playa but definitely this one is the best, a small family business with their own recipes that taste awesome, great food, great service and for sure great prices. Next time Im there I will pay them...a visit for sure.
