The Mexican food here is quite good, with larger portions than I anticipated. The seasoning is on point. I ordered a burrito that was so filling I couldn't finish it. However, I’m deducting a star because the horchata and agua fresca were disappointing; they tasted more like water and sugar than anything else.
I haven't visited this location since my onion mishap, but I hope my honest feedback encouraged them to improve their food preparation and service. That was one of the few times I've encountered an issue with onions.
The carne asada burrito was filled with so much fat and gristle that I had to spit it out after just two bites! It was nothing but cheap, fatty meat. I won’t be coming back!
I've been coming here since I was 12, and now at 41, I plan to bring my kids along. It's not fancy, but the food is top-notch. They have hot salsa, fresh chips, and the best chili con carne around. My dad is making the trip down from Redding just to enjoy the chili. The food here is unbeatable. - Kevin
