Creperie chez mimi - Pleuven

We had a wonderful experience here last year (February 2019) so we decided to come back with friends for dinner this time. We reserved 8:45 and when we arrived, our table was not ready, but no worries, we were happy to wait at the bar and drink some cider. We showed our table about 20 minutes later, no problem. But then the difficulties started. Our order was taken fast enough, but we had to do about it. 45 minutes wait until our first crepes arrived. Then wait another long for the second savory Crepes. It seemed like everyone in the back dining area where we sat was waiting very long. And unfortunately, when I got my crepes, the inner filling was cold I had a cheese and onion filling (to be fair, the crepes were as usual delicious). I don't think it was the server fault, I guess there was a problem in the kitchen. At about 10:30 10:45 we were asked if we wanted something else, and although we wanted a few Dessert-Krepp, we went back so tired of waiting. Overall, the experience was “bad”. Perhaps this was a night (Saturday, July 31) – hope so.

After we have seen this place for a few years on the way to Bénodet and the parking lot full, we finally decided to make it to lunch. And we were glad we did. The savory buckwheat crepes (called 'galettes' otherwise in Brittany)... are delicious and there are many to choose. The sweet wheat crepes are also delicious, especially those with 'caramel beurre salé'. This will certainly go to one of our places when we are in Bénodet.

Basic but well patronised. Spotted as we drive past and turned around and went back, attracted by the sunny terrace. Excellent selection of crepes , savoury and sweet served with local cider.. Service a bit haphazard, but food mad up for it .

This restaurant is just excellent : cosy atmosphere, nice welcome, tasty pancakes and gentle prices. Our kids enjoy this restaurant where after lunch or diner of pancakes, they can relax on the dedicated playground. You are visiting France, close to Pleuven ... or not, take...the time to enjoy the best pancakes of Brittany, made by Sophie.
