So we had to book for the next morning with a late check out from the room frozen pool water, poor hygiene and very strong smell of chlorine, pool area covered with green mushrooms, deck chairs not very clean we were upgraded following the heating failure in a Junior Suite... room not great, shabby, carpet on the floor very damaged and stained, the toilet seat damaged, the toilet flush stained and let 's not talk no brown toilet brush... We had 2 twin beds pushed together with a hole in the middle... The 1st room without heating looked better. low end hygiene products despite the so called upgrade, no effort on the price for the hour of waiting for heating only a free coffee... when you have a beautiful panorama, it would be good to clean the windows of the bar and the rooms properly Good points : very pleasant restaurant and good menu, with a wine pairing well chosen by the waiter good value for money for breakfast very friendly receptionist (young man) To conclude, very average value for money and not worth the 4*, we may be too demanding but we are used to 4* which are much more luxurious and where the rooms are modern and clean and where the spa is quality . We came to spend one night as a couple a small dog. The Spa is very pleasant, the breakfast is excellent. I recommend this hotel. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value
Initially we had booked at the Lancelot residence with a friend, we had the pleasant surprise of being upgraded and spending the evening at King Arthur. We were also able to benefit from a free hour for the spa by taking a paid hour. The restaurant was not open but we have very good advice on finding a restaurant open on Sunday evening. Very quiet and pleasant hotel to live in. Breakfast at the top! I will come back ! Rooms: 5
As we live in mid-Essex and our friends live in South Sussex finding a pub/restaurant midway can be difficult.
I have been here a few times with my family, cosy country pub very close to my sister-in-law's house.
