The food was delicious, the decor is charming and exactly what a country pub should be with the big open fire, atmosphere was really relaxing and the service was perfect. The manager owner even brought our dog some treats over which was a lovely touch. Dietary restrictions: I am vegan and had the Cajun vegetable soup which was delicious. There were several other vegan options as well. Very accommodating and helpful for all dietary requirements. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A friendly welcome from the staff and locals. Great food, quality items with lovely touches i.e. tempura onions, sour dough bread, etc. . House wine and IPA of good quality. Charming waiting staff. This is the best Sunday roast I've ever had in an English pub, absolutely amazing. We had the chicken roast and the nut roast. The vegetables and potatoes in particular are exceptional. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are cosy. It is a genuine pub, with locals popping up for a drink, families coming for dinner, and the odd wakers like us arriving impromptu for a meal. All this for a fair price. We will be back! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very good food , and pleasant and attentive service. The building environment just a little basic, even for a country pub. But prices reasonable so all fair enough for me. Price per person: £20–30
