We had the pleasure of dining at Taste twice this week. The first experience was at a pairing dinner hosted by Acquiesce Winery on Wednesday, followed by a visit to enjoy Taste's current dinner menu on...
This restaurant is stunning, offering fantastic service and mouthwatering food. The interior strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and elegance. My friends and I were out and about all day...
We interacted with three different employees, and all of them were polite and friendly. The prices for the three and five-course meals were the same for both the vegan and main menus. While the prices seemed a bit high, the overall experience made it worthwhile. The menu offered three options each for appetizers and main courses, as well as choices for dessert including vegan chocolate cake, gelato, and more. The mention of vegan chocolate cake grabbed my attention right away! I started with the corn soup, which reminded me of tortilla soup. My main dish consisted of oyster mushrooms and polenta, accompanied by grilled squash and couscous, all dressed with pesto. I’m always impressed by the texture of trumpet mushrooms; some pieces were a bit chewy while others were more tender than I expected. The morels were the highlight for me—I could have easily eaten an entire plate of them! My partner began with a risotto topped with trumpet mushrooms and corn. The risotto had a lovely creamy texture with a corn base. For his main course, he had Impossible meatballs in a well-prepared tomato sauce, served with French beans, heirloom tomatoes, and roasted bell peppers that added a light touch of heat. The chocolate cake was certainly a standout, perhaps even more than the morels (which I still can’t stop thinking about). The cake (which was also gluten-free) was beautifully garnished with crushed pistachios and cookies, served with a side of berry sauce. Absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself featured white tablecloths and bar seating, separated from the dining area by a low wall, which added to the overall ambiance.
A real gem, genuine fine dining experience. Exceptional food! Wonderful wait staff. If there aren’t any reservation times available online, give them a call. Excellent wine money featuring various local wines plus some rare French wines. You choose from a 3-course or 5-course menu, or sometimes a special prix fixe menu that may include wine pairing add-on. Some locals warned us that we “may be hungry after eating at Taste” but in my opinion the portions are perfect, reminiscent of European fine dining.
